Nina Mutmainnah
is a media expert, once a Commissioner of the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) (2010-2013). She is also highly active in several social movements: child protection, broadcast democratisation, and tobacco control. She writes, speaks and conducts research on those issues.
Nina is one of the founder of YPMA (Child Media Development Foundation), a civil society organisation that aims to protect children from the negative influence of the media and empower the parent and child's position in media interaction. She is currently active in the National Coalition for Broadcasting Reform (KNRP), a coalition of civil society organisations that involves about 160 academics and civil society activists concerned with broadcasting democratisation.
